I love the dark;
At nighttime I’m best at remembering the taste of love
While shedding tears of what once was.

In the solitude of a cold, bare room,
I reminisce about the past and all that I miss.

Your warm embrace once called home
No longer greets my return
Instead loss of love and pain are the only emotions I own.

  5. Joe sanchez says:

    very nice, I like it although you can expand it further
    show more of the pain make it real grab me and twist my soul I want to feel it. Own it you can make it deeper and better i know you can.

      I tend to write longer pieces but recently decided to try a few shorter pieces. Maybe I’ll expand on it when the mood strikes to mix it up 🙂
      Are you on FB? I share other drafts there as well…
