Good synopsis and rationale behind Henry Louis Gayes Jr.’s project, The African Americans (6 episodes). This informative series originally aired in 2013 will be regarded as critical history lessons for all of America. Pay attention, this is American history and not just black history. Don’t discard an entire population’s contribution to your everyday life and possibly, your personal family wealth and paths in life that you enjoy today. Oh, and don’t let the heavy topic scare you, it’s easy to follow. I promise you will get sucked in to this gripping story with a master storyteller. History is important. Kudos, Dr. Gates and team!
